Hello my name is Raphael Parra and I am a native of Santa Maria de Dota Costa Rica. I would like to invite you to my country, to my town, to my home and show you the wonders of this rich area. The landscape of Costa Rica is stunningly beautiful, the people of Santa Maria are warm and accepting, and the days are filled with fun, adventure, excitement and tranquility.

Santa Maria de Dota is a small pueblo tucked into the mountains of the Tarrazu Valley, about 2 hours south of San Jose. You can get there by renting a car, taking a bus, or hiring a taxi at a very reasonable rate. You will find Santa Maria de Dota to be a peasant, tranquil place.

You won't want to leave!!

We can spend our time hiking through rain forests, riding bicycles from the mountains to the beach, riding horses, taking driving tours, or spending a peaceful afternoon in the park. You can also spend time walking the scenic roads of Santa Maria, seeing the coffee fields and talking with the local people. This area is very safe to walk around. You will find the local people to be friendly and helpful.

Are you tired of the predictable days in the all inclusive resort? Try something a little different this year. Bring the family, bring the kids!! I would like to invite you to stay in my house with my family. I have two private rooms in my house, each with a private bath. We will make sure that you are well fed and taken care of. The food is good and plentiful.  Although the water is great to drink right out of the tap, we provide bottled water for your peace of mind.

I have guided many groups, small and large, through Costa Rica. Many people from the United States and Europe have come to Santa Maria for vacation and adventure. I have many friends from around the world. I hope we can be friends as well.
